Sanders, Democrats push effort to kill 'handouts' for fossil fuels in Trump's 'big, beautiful bill'

Sen. Bernie Sanders, Rep. Ilhan Omar, and other critics of the Trump administration's energy policies have introduced the "End Polluter Welfare Act" to cut over $190 billion in federal subsidies for the fossil fuel industry over the next decade and prevent the Trump administration from opening public lands to new drilling and mining efforts.
