Want a raise? You may want to look for a job at Paycom, Boston Consulting Group, or Adobe.
Those three companies topped a new list of large firms that offer the “best compensation,” compiled by workforce culture and compensation monitoring platform Comparably.
The list, Best Company Compensation 2024, is the eighth annual version from Comparably, and a part of its Best Places to Work series. It comprises two segments: one for large companies (500 or more employees), another for small ones. Fast Company received an early look at both segments, which will be released publicly on Wednesday.
The rankings were ultimately determined by employee sentiment ratings over the past year, along with a series of questions that workers answered related to their compensation, benefits, and bonus packages.
Here’s how the rankings shook out for both large and small companies:
Top 10 large companies
Top 10 small companies
Outside of the top 10, some notable companies included on the list were Workday, Squarespace, Google, and Meta.
While Comparably’s data doesn’t include salary information, it did provide Fast Company with some quotes from employees at the companies on the list to help provide a bit more insight into why they were included.
For instance, one employee at Paycom said, “The best part of our compensation package includes our commission structure, time off, and healthcare package.”
Some get a bit more granular, too.
“The pay is great and I feel like I am compensated fairly for my work,” writes one employee at Texas-based fintech company Alkami Technology, which ranked No. 14 on the list of large companies. “I am motivated to stay with Alkami to help the company succeed. Unlimited PTO and flexibility to take time off when needed (especially with small children at home) is a big plus.”
