Bank of New York Mellon Corp. on Wednesday promoted 30 employee to managing director, the bank's highest title below the C-suite. That's down from 44 managing director promotions last year as CEO Robin Vince seeks to transform the bank, including by setting a higher bar for rising up in the ranks.
